TRAIL RIDES

(Trail rides are offered March 1 - November 15)

Your visit to the ranch would not be complete without one of our guided western trail rides or indoor arena
adventures. Your riding adventure includes a basic introduction to horses and riding. All rides are available with a
reservation made 24 hours in advance. Payment required with reservation.

Adventures are available daily, at 9am 11:00am and 2:00 pm. Call if you have a large group ( 8 or more) and need
a different time, we may be able to work you in.

HORSEBACK RIDING ADVENTURES: (age 7 and older):              $35.00 for ranch guests
                                                                                                               40.00 for non guests

Take a tour of the ranch cowboy style! You'll be riding the same breeds of horses that helped to carve out the American West;
Quarter Horses., Paint Horses, and Appaloosas.

ARENA/Pony RIDES:                                                                                       $30.00 for ranch guests
                                                                                                                          35.00 for non guests

Not quite ready to tackle the great wide open? Too young for a trail? You can still cowboy up in our indoor arena!

Special Restrictions:   Long pants and sturdy shoes with a low heel (such as hiking boots) are required. Tennis shoes are not
permitted.   River's Bend Ranch provides all tack and required safety apparel.   Please call to inquire about age or other
restrictions.

River’s Bend Ranch and the wonderful valley community that surrounds us have plenty of distractions to fill your day! On the
ranch you can indulge in fishing, volleyball, lawn games, a playground, the game room, hiking, horseback riding, kite flying,
swimming, tubing, or just exploring and enjoying nature. For those who like a slower pace, we have many quiet hideaways for
reading or relaxing or you can simply work on refining your hammock skills!

Not far from the ranch are many wonderful restaurants and attractions such as Luray Caverns, golfing, New Market Battlefield
State Historical Park, wineries, antiques, shopping, skiing (snow and grass), Skyline Drive, the Appalachian Trail …. There are
simply too many to list!

For those activities that may or do require reservations, we request that you secure them two weeks prior to your arrival
date. We cannot guarantee any requests made with last minute notice. Special restrictions may apply to participate in
certain activities. Please make sure to inquire when you make your activity reservation.
